They Don’t Tell the Future—They Tell Stories

People often think tarot is about prediction. That each card is a glimpse into what’s coming. But that’s not how I use them. For me, tarot isn’t about telling the future—it’s about telling stories.

Every card is a character. A moment. A mood. When you draw one, you’re not being handed a prophecy. You’re being invited into a narrative. One that reflects your current state, your inner landscape, your unfolding arc.

The cards don’t say this will happen. They say this is the kind of story you’re in. Maybe it’s a chapter of transformation. Maybe it’s a scene of tension. Maybe it’s a quiet interlude. But it’s always alive. Always symbolic. Always personal.

And like any good story, tarot doesn’t give you the ending. It gives you the setup. The theme. The emotional truth. You get to choose what happens next.

That’s why I keep coming back to the cards. Not for answers—but for language. For metaphor. For meaning. They help me narrate what I’m feeling. They help me see the shape of things. They help me remember that I’m not just living—I’m storytelling.
